Covid -19 Policy
The safety and the well-being of our clients and staff is our highest priority and this policy aims to provide information and confidence to those that wish to book with us.
We will continue to monitor and adhere to government advice relevant to our sector, and reserve the right to change our operating procedures and policies at any time. This policy has been created in-line with guidance and information provided by Welsh Government. Here you can find our current policy and procedures in line with government guidance. This will change over time as advice changes.
Currently we are accepting bookings from April 2021 onwards in anticipation of this being possible. However, if it has not been allowed or advised to operate hire businesses at any point, full refunds will be issued. We will contact customers as soon as possible to let them know of any changes to their bookings.
Before you Borrow:
At the point of booking, you will be asked to agree to our terms and conditions which includes adhering to this policy.
If you or a member of your household show any symptoms of Covid-19 at any point before drop off date, you must inform us as soon as possible. If this is the case, your booking will need to be cancelled and a full refund will be issued up until the day of collection.
All BorrowBay wetsuits will be sterilised in between uses in accordance with government regulations at the time of borrowing. Your wetsuit will be cleaned in fresh water and then double dipped in a diluted disinfectant before being quarantined for 24 hours. Please contact us if you would like more information about the products if you feel this may cause any allergic reactions.
All other BorrowBay items will be cleaned in accordance with government regulations at the time of borrowing. Some items in BorrowBags that cannot be safely cleaned will be removed and replaced with another similar product.
If government regulations dictate, hire items will also be quarantined for set periods and hired out on a cyclical basis.
On delivery of your BorrowBay items:
Both staff and customers are required to maintain a 2 meter distance from each other at all times during drop off and collection.
Items to be borrowed will be delivered and collected in a socially distanced manner. Staff will not be able to enter any premises to reduce the risk of spreading infection. Therefore we will only be able to offer a door step drop off.
All staff delivering items will be required to wear a mask on delivery and pick-up.
All staff will use hand sanitizer in between each delivery and pick up.
During and soon after pick up
Please notify us as soon as possible by phone or email if you or a person that you have been in contact with shows any symptoms of Covid-19 or has a positive test. The items you have hired will then be quarantined for two weeks and then sterilized. If this is the case during your stay, we can arrange a socially distanced pick up of your items as soon as possible.
All staff will be required to adhere to the guidelines noted above. In addition, if any member of staff or person in close contact has tested positive or has any symptoms of Covid 19 then we will not be able to hire out equipment and government guidelines will be followed in terms of when this can be resumed. If this occurs, customers will be informed as soon as possible and a full refund will be issued.
